Double Knitting

Double knitting is a technique where you knit on the front and the back of a colorwork piece at the same time so the opposite sides are the inverse of each other. The best part? NO WRONG SIDES.

We will be working with the Folksy Hot Pads pattern by our good friend and designer Shelli Can! She has been generous enough to gift us this pattern to include with the class for free AND she is providing an exclusive colorwork chart so you have the choice of the classic quilt block motif or her super special KC color chart to be revealed later!

You will learn:

• how to cast on for double knitting
• double knitting colorwork
  
• how to cast off for double knitting

You will need:

• yarn (two contrasting colors)
• needles compatible with the yarn you choose 

Please work with yarn purchased at Knit Club prior to class
